On behalf of the Tasmanian Government, I am pleased to congratulate the winners and nominees in tonight’s 21st annual Telstra Tasmania Business Women’s Awards in Hobart.
These important awards recognise women who have achieved excellence in their fields and who serve as great role models for young Tasmanian women aspiring to careers in business.
I particularly want to congratulate the 2015 Telstra Business Woman of the Year, Beth Mathison, a business consultant with more than 35 years of management experience.
Ms Mathison also won the Entrepreneur Award, and should be commended for her commitment to mentoring others.
Other category winners were Karen Burbury, Susan Fahey, Jenny Self, Hanny Allston, and Naomi Walsh.
We wish our Tasmanian winners all the best in the national finals, which will be held in Melbourne next month.
