Is it feasible to expect people around the world to meet their needs locally? How can we balance our local and global lifestyle in a way that leads to better outcomes for humans and the planet?
“This and many other questions will be answered at our in depth discussion ‘Ethics of Living Locally in a Global World’, said Festival Director, Lissa Villeneuve.
There are benefits of living in a globalised world and supporting other people and places. Just as eating local foods and supporting local businesses is a path to a more sustainable future.
“The 2015 Sustainable Living Festival brings together an expert panel to discuss the complex issues associated with living locally in a global world” concluded Ms Villeneuve.
Living locally in a Global World presentation is on 1st Nov 10.30am and part of the Sustainable Living Festival
You can ask questions of our esteemed panel in advance by going to www.slt.org.au/equity_of_living_locally by 24th October. Your questions will be answered on the day.
