As you may have heard the Minister for the Arts George Brandis has released a draft plan designed to seriously review the way arts programs, festivals, creative people collectively, receive government funding, or are able to apply for it.

Apparently it was slipped into the public domain around 6pm last night (Wed) which does kind of suggest he’s not that interested in receiving public comment – despite claims he does.
As writers, this affects you. For those of you in Tasmania it definitely affects you, given we have a vibrant arts industry, and a lot of creative individuals who live here.
So please consider providing George with some comment – and please also circulate widely to all your creative (and not so creative) friends and colleagues, and ask them to respond.
