“The Helpmanns are Australia’s most prestigious performing arts awards,” he said.
“Like the Academy Awards, the Tonys and the Golden Globes, it is a tremendous honour just to be nominated. We have our fingers crossed for the end of July when the winners are announced, but in the meantime we’re celebrating this year’s success.”
Queensland Performing Arts Centre’s Chief Executive John Kotzas congratulated Brisbane Baroque on receiving such a high number of nominations for the nation’s most coveted arts industry awards.
“This recognition is a tribute to Festival Director Jarrod Carland and Artistic Director Leo Schofield’s presentation of a sensational inaugural festival, showcasing the best of international and Australian early music performance exclusively in Brisbane,” says Mr Kotzas.
“We also would like to acknowledge our fellow nominees and wish them luck,” adds Mr Carland.
“It is such a thrill for Brisbane Baroque to be recognized in the company of the very finest on offer around the country.”

It only works with investment Will so why would anyone believe you are serious when you killed a working festival because of a supposed lack of money that you appear to be ready to splash about now? Do you actually know what a plan is and how you implement one successfully?. Having succeeded in sending Baroque to Brisbane your government continues to prop up the failed GBE Forestry Tasmania when even members of the Advisory Board can see it won’t work.
