LOUD MOUTH THEATRE COMPANY PRESENT
BROADWAY SMASH HIT COMEDY ‘SEMINAR’
MOONAH ARTS CENTRE
23 APRIL – 2 MAY
“Writers aren’t people. This has never been more clear.”
Loud Mouth Theatre Company proudly present Theresa Rebeck’s provocative comedy, Seminar. Seminar is a brutally funny dissection of four tortured fiction writers under the microscope of their internationally renowned and astronomically drug-addled mentor and teacher, Leonard.
This biting Broadway comedy about power, sex, and art is a smorgasbord of vicious, hilarious wordplay examining the collision of innocence and experience.
Directed by Loud Mouth’s own Maeve Mhairi MacGregor, the stellar cast includes local actors Jeff Keogh, Robert Maxwell, Bryony Geeves, Zachary Lennon and Jessica Davies.
What does it take to make it? Sacrifice, sex, self-loathing and cookie dough are all things this “tight, witty, and consistently entertaining” (The Hollywood Reporter) comedy promises to deliver.
The show premiered on Broadway in 2011 with Alan Rickman in the role of Leonard.
Loud Mouth Theatre Company is Tasmania’s newest independent theatre company. They received three nominations including one win in the professional category at the recent Tasmanian Theatre Awards. Loud Mouth are committed to producing new and collaborative professional theatre experiences.
