The recording is an uplifting tribute to speakeasy nights, back alley jazz and raunchy blues.

McCue co-produced with her previous partner in crime, Dusty Wakeman (Lucinda Williams, Dwight Yoakum) and the album features clarinet,

Trumpet, trombone and violin along with McCue splendid guitar performances – in styles ranging from Django Reinhardt, Charlie Christian and Nuevo Tango. This is all balanced out by Carl Byron’s beautiful piano playing.

The songs sound like they were written before World War II but they are in fact new standards. Old and refreshingly new at the same time.

Recently described by No Depression magazine as “a joyous work… For those who like “on a scale of…” ratings, it’s a 10.”

McCue is currently touring the US and plans to tour Australia in May.
