The National Youth Week 2015 Grants Program application process comes to an end this week.
I urge all interested local governments, community organisations and schools to get on board.
The grants program offers a chance to develop and deliver creative projects, events and activities during National Youth Week.
Grants start at $2,000, and there are three grants of $5,000 for partner organisations in each region; north, north-west and south.
The events must showcase the talents and skills of young people; profile the role of young people and celebrate their contribution; and, raise issues of concern to young people and explore possible solutions.
Last year almost 9,000 young Tasmanians attended National Youth Week celebrations funded by the grants program.
National Youth Week will run from April 10 to 19 next year with the theme ‘It Starts With Us’. Applications for the grants program close on Friday October 31.
