Contrary to Labor scaremongering, the public service redeployment process has not changed since Labor was in government.

Employees are informed of vacancies at their level within the state service.

It is up to individuals to decide if they will apply, and the hiring will be determined by their skill set.

In fact, I am informed by the Department of Education that no DoE employee has expressed interest in vacancies within the Department of Justice.

Yesterday, the Opposition said we should rule out forced redundancies, today they are saying we should rule out redeployment.

There is no consistency in their position and they have lost all credibility.
