QUEENSTOWN HERITAGE AND ARTS FESTIVAL

RETURNING 10-12 OCTOBER

ADVICE: BOOK ACCOMMODATION, ACTIVITIES AND TOURS NOW

The multi award winning Queenstown Heritage and Arts Festival returns October 10-12 with a fascinating program of arts, cultural and heritage events.

The festival, appropriately titled ‘The Power of Water’ celebrates the centenary of the Lake Margaret Power Station – The oldest, continually operating Hydro Electric Station in Australia.
The program features a number of arts, cultural and heritage exhibitions, installations, activities and tours.

Festival organiser’s are encouraging patrons to book their accommodation, activities and tours in advance. It is our experience following the 2012 festival that accommodation in Queenstown, and neighbouring towns (Strahan, Zeehan) will do, and is, filling up quickly.

The West Coast Visitor Information and Booking Centre (Telephone: 03 6472 6800) can assist with accommodation bookings. Activity and tour bookings as part of the Queenstown Heritage and Arts Festival are being managed by the West Coast Wilderness Railway (Telephone: 03 6471 0100).
