The Tasmanian Greens will launch their candidates for the Clarence City Council elections, tomorrow, Saturday the 13th of September at 12 noon.
The event will be held on the Bellerive Boardwalk, alongside the bandstand.
Nick McKim, MP, Greens Member for Franklin, will launch the candidates’ campaign.
The three endorsed candidates for Clarence City Council are, Alderman Kay McFarlane, Jen Van-Achteren and Penelope Ann.
The candidates’ aims, when elected, include – improving local sport facilities and recreational areas; increasing availability of affordable local fresh food; preparing for the impacts of climate change; improving cycle and wheelchair accessibility; and supporting a double story car park in Bellerive with bike storage and electric car recharge station.
