The blame game has started in the Liberal Cabinet over a lost $1.4 billion from the Budget.
Both Health Minister Michael Ferguson (today) and Human Services Minister Jacquie Petrusma (yesterday) were stumped when asked where $1.4 billion of DHHS assets had been written down in the Budget.
“Neither member knew where the $1.4 billion had gone,” Shadow Health and Human Services Minister Rebecca White said.
“Jacquie Petrusma and Michael Ferguson are clearly not communicating.
“After yesterday’s embarrassment surely the Liberals could have gotten together to work out where this $1.4 billion is in the Budget papers.
“They had 24 hours and yet still couldn’t answer.
“Clearly the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing.
“There is clearly no accountability in the Liberal Cabinet as both ministers engage in blame shifting.
“Mrs Petrusma or Mr Ferguson must once and for all answer where this $1.4 billion is.
“It is an embarrassing show of incompetency ahead of next week’s budget estimates.”
