Examiner: The rage over the comics ... 4

The Editorial columns in today’s Sunday Examiner speaks volumes about the paper and its Tasmanian readership.

It leads with the fact that this is a big news week for Tasmania with the repeal of the Carbon tax and a Tasmanian doing so well in the Tour de France but that such important news has been drowned out by public annoyance and clamour over changes made during the week to the Comics page ( Comics switch puzzles readers ).

The Editor and the paper came under immediate siege from its so-called readers by personal visit, phone and letter.

As a result of this all consuming local pressure normal service on the Comics page has been resumed.

Hooray for The Examiner, a paper, so proud of its Tasmanian readers that their Editor is willing to draw attention to their real interests by publishing this mind bending editorial.
