The Liberal Government is helping business to create jobs in Tasmania.

As the Parliamentary Secretary for Small Business and Trade, it was my pleasure to officially open the Business Fest Workshop in Launceston today.

Organised by the Business and Employment, the workshops are aimed at aspiring small business operators wanting to build their skills in marketing to attract new customers.
The Liberal Government understands the challenges small businesses face in a highly competitive market.

State Government business support programs include the Think Local First Campaign, the New Market Expansion Program, and the Small Business Jobs Bonus which I announced on the weekend.

Ongoing support for small business will continue to be provided under the Enterprise Centres Tasmania and Mentoring Services Tasmania Network.

The Liberal Government’s permanent headworks holiday and the disaggregation of large government contracts to make it easier for local businesses to win contracts will also make it easier for business and development around the state.

We are committed to backing Tasmanian businesses to create jobs and grow the economy.
Adam Brooks, Parliamentary Secretary for Small Business and Trade
