Moonah Arts Centre is ending its popular Friday night music program for the year with an exceptional evening of music and dance from Tasmania’s new and emerging communities.
Tasmanian Aboriginal Elder, Song-man, Douggie Mansell will welcome our newest talented artists to country, as we begin a program of new and old music that has been brought together by the Centre for a special 2 hour concert.
Producer, Matthew Fargher says ”After more than a year now of working with settlement services, youth services and community organisations, we have brought together an extraordinary group of artists who sing, rap and dance. These musicians and dancers represent around 15 different language groups, and they are as musically diverse as they are in age and background.”
On Friday the 22nd you have a chance to support your own community, welcome new ones, and enjoy the fantastic program put together for the night. It is more than a year since we danced, laughed, cried and were amazed at the inaugural Moonah Nights. This year’s event will be equally memorable and not to be missed.
Videos of last year’s event can be viewed at Pulse Youth Health’s Moonah Nights Playlist:
