Artist Callum and his teeth handiwork, soon after the Sam Simon was purchased.
Sea Shepherd’s newest ship, the Sam Simon, will arrive at Circular Quay tonight at 6:30pm. The former Japanese fisheries vessel is now one of Sea Shepherd’s fleet of 4 ships. It was donated by The Simpsons co-creator Sam Simon and will be running public tours Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 5pm.
It is the first time the Sam Simon has visited Sydney and with its new ocean camo design and anti-poaching decals the ship is a spectacular sight to behold. As with previous years, Sea Shepherd expects thousands of Sydney-siders to venture down to Circular Quay to take this unique opportunity to tour the ship and support our work. The Sam Simon will be part of this year’s Operation Relentless which is Sea Shepherd’s tenth year defending whales in the Southern Ocean.
