The update to the Environmental Law Handbook was made possible by the Hobart City Council Dr Edward Hall Environment Grants 2012.

EDO Tasmania is pleased to announce the release of the updated online Environmental Law Handbook (4th edition), providing clear, practical guidance in relation to a wide range of resource management and planning issues.

The Handbook will be officially launched by Alderman Helen Burnett on 23 August 2013.

To celebrate the launch, we are hosting a free public workshop giving a brief introduction to topical environmental law issues, including:

• Mining leases and exploration licences
• Coastal planning
• The Tasmanian Forest Agreement Act 2013
• Strategic impact assessments under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999
• Interim planning schemes
