I support the Greens’ amendment to the Government’s Migration Amendment (Temporary Sponsored Visas) Bill 2013 which would extend the protection of the Bill to skilled workers.

In other words, I remain opposed to the current provision in the Bill giving the Immigration Minister the power to exempt some categories of workers from, for instance, the requirement for labour market testing.
