The Tasmanian Greens Leader Nick McKim MP today offered his deepest condolences to the family of Michael Hodgman, on behalf of the Tasmanian Greens.
“The thoughts of the Tasmanian Greens are today with Will and the extended Hodgman family on the very sad news of Michael’s passing,” Mr McKim said.
“Michael was a larger than life character who had real pride and sincere passion for Tasmania.”
“The Greens had more than a few political disagreements with Michael over the years, but nobody could question his passion.”
“He was prepared to stand up for the things he strongly believed in, and showed himself at times to be a strong-minded and independent thinker within the Liberal Party.”
“His advocacy on behalf of the East Timorese people and his courageous stand against the damming of Lake Pedder showed that he was prepared to stand up for things he believed in, even when his own party held different views.”
