The construction of the North West Regional Hospital Cancer Care Centre and Emergency Department Redevelopment is about to commence.
Phillip Matthews, General Manager of Vos Construction and Joinery said it was an honour for Vos to be involved in such an important development.
The development will consist of construction of a new MRI facility, a larger and completely refurbished Emergency Department, a multistorey building to house the Regional Cancer Centre including two new linear accelerator bunkers, a new main entrance to the hospital as well as general site works to complete the upgrade to the NWRH precinct.
VOS has been awarded a $20 million contract for construction work associated with both the Cancer Centre and Emergency Department.
The construction and development will employ in excess of 50 people over 18 months.
Mr Matthews said that Vos had been working hard to secure this project and was proud and passionate about being part of the overall team to construct the new Regional Cancer Centre and Emergency Department Redevelopment.
