The Tasmanian Greens Leader Nick McKim MP today thanked the army of hard working volunteers assisting the relief effort for communities affected by fire.
Mr McKim and Australian Greens Leader Christine Milne today visited Sorell to deliver fresh produce and offer support to volunteers working to provide fodder to graziers affected by fire.
“It was great to get out and meet some of the many selfless Tasmanians who are working to help those who have been affected by the fires,” Mr McKim said.
“Along with fodder, there appears to be a particular need for fencing materials and equipment for graziers in fire affected areas.”
“On behalf of all my Green colleagues, I want to thank the army of volunteers who are working around the clock to bring help and hope to so many Tasmanians.”
“It is an inspiration and a sign of the generosity and decency of Tasmanians that so many people are prepared to give up their time and money for those in need.”
