Who: Bridestowe Lavender Estate in Nabowla, Tasmania, is one of the world’s largest and oldest lavender plantations. At Bridestowe Estate we farm only Lavandula angustifolia, which is the True French lavender and is of the highest perfume grade available in the market. Our lavender is used in an extensive range of applications including gourmet foods, perfumes, SPA quality skin care and fragranced home products.
We have 120 acres of lavender plants across the substantial 297 acre site, a range of over 200 products available, and a great cafe which specialises in lavender enhanced cuisine.
What: Bridestowe Estate has a new Tourist Bus on site.
An innovation in tourism, Bridestowe Estate now offers guests the opportunity to travel in comfort and style!
Starting December 3rd, 2012, visitors can now tour Bridestowe Estate from the comfort of the brightly painted, 30 seat bus.
The concept and implementation was the brainchild of neighbours Simon and Tiana Fullbrook and will add a major dimension to local tourism.
Tours will run every half an hour and leave from Bridestowe’s famous Oak Tree, starting from 10am.
There is a charge of $5 for adults and $3 for children under 16. Tickets can be purchased from the pickup and drop off point.
