The Tasmanian stores of Radio Rentals have been decorated with three awards at the household goods rental company’s annual national conference, held last week. The region was awarded Store of the Year, Sales & Operations Manager of the Year and Employee of the Year, a hat trick never before achieved by any other region in the company’s history.
The accolades put Tasmania first over Radio Rentals’ and Rentlo’s (in South Australia) network of over 80 stores around Australia:
– Store of the Year: Devonport and Burnie, operating as a hub and spoke
– Sales and Operations Manager of the Year: Victor Edwards;
– Employee of the Year: Devonport sales representative Lynn Dudman
Ms Dudman was delighted to be awarded Employee of the Year, “Our whole Tasmanian team really is like one big family and to be recognised like this by my friends and peers is just such an honour. I’m so proud of the team and happy for the success of the region.”
Devonport and Burnie Store Manager Martin Burns says it was a team effort, “We have worked hard to create a professional and positive culture among the team and our success this past year is recognition of that hard work. We will continue to work to ensure that our customer service exceeds expectations and look forward to more success in the future.”
On winning the awards, Mr Edwards said, “Over the years we have managed to build a team of highly experienced, well-rounded individuals with a great culture and work ethic. Customer service has always been key for us and our success is a reflection of that – these awards are testament to the quality of our teamwork. Congratulations to the whole Tasmania team.”
James Marshall, General Manager for Radio Rentals and Rentlo, says “Over the past year, our Tasmanian operations have contributed greatly to what has been a very successful year for the company. We have seen significant growth in the furniture and lifestyle rental side of the business, while building upon our already strong standing in the traditional appliance and whitegoods rental markets. Our customer growth shows that people view rental as a genuine alternative to traditional finance agreements. The entire Tasmanian team have been exemplary in making sure our customers reap the full benefits of our offering. Congratulations to Victor, Martin, Lynn and our Tasmania team.”
Radio Rentals is famed for its customer incentives such as the ‘No Knock Back’ guarantee and ‘Your Credit History is History’ campaigns, which give customers the ability to access the products they need, regardless of their past. This is strongly underpinned by the company’s Responsible Rental Policy, which ensures that Radio Rentals customers have access to rental agreements that suit their budget.
Radio Rentals and Rentlo in South Australia is the only rental company in Australia to offer a Rent, Try, $1 Buy™ incentive, which gives our customers completing a 36 month rental contract the opportunity to negotiate a buyout price of $1 for a product, or one of a similar age, dimension and design.
