I was in a boozer, the Tap and Spile on Hungate in Lincoln, on Sunday night, playing music as you do.
I have Andrew Wilkie sickers on my instrument case and a bloke in his thirties, or forties, or so, asked me about them.
I told him the Wilkie story and he told me that he had a loose connection with politics in Tasmania.
He was at a party in the Canary Islands some years ago and a balcony collapsed.
He grabbed the arm of a young woman and saved her from falling to the ground below.
Her name now is Nicola Hodgman.
She and the young man were at Warwick university.
His name is James.
That’s all I know mate but it’s a story worth telling in Tassie isn’t it?
Amazing coincidence.
