Despard Gallery invite you to the opening of an exciting joint exhibition of sculpture by Paul Selwood and abstract Paintings by Peter Poulet.
Thursday the 10Th November from 6pm
Paul Selwood is recognised as one of Australia’s pre-emanate sculptors, represented in numerous public and private collections internationally.
Represented by Watters gallery, Sydney since 1972 this new series of sculptures are based on the cosmos — constructed from Steel and aluminium with painted surfaces, these table size works have a distinctive presence beyond their scale.

Peter Poulet is showing his paintings in Tasmania for the first time, appointed as Tasmania’s first state architect in 2009, Poulet’s life long passion for art compliments his architectural practice.
The energised spontaneous paintings with bold colour are visually refreshing, the comparative discipline of architecture is metaphorically thrown out the window through his artwork.
Peter is also represented by Watters Gallery,at Despard Gallery in association with his friend Paul Selwood, the artists combine paintings and sculpture as visual equals.
