Hobart City Council candidate, Dean Charles Parry, today received overwhelming support for his stance on the Sandy Bay to Taroona bike Lane farce.
Mr Parry spent over three hours at the corner of Sandy Bay Road and Nelson Road dispalying his no bike lane sign.
In that time he was overwhelmed by the support he received from passing motorists and pedestrians.
Mr Parry said “I did not spot one bicycle!”.
“It is clear that the vast majority of Hobartians are not prepared to tolerate this nonsensical notion of a bike lane stretching 5KM from Marieville Esplanade to Cartwright Reserve.”
