I would like to advise you that the Launceston City Council will be holding a public meeting on Wednesday, 27th July at 6pm at the Town Hall for Hydro Tasmania to present their case for a 2.5 cubic metre per second flow through the Cataract Gorge contrary to the Council’s request for a 5 cumec flow.
I sincerely apologise for the short notice, I have only just learnt about it myself, but I do URGE you to attend, ..it is a ‘very’ important matter and if we want to see more water flowing through the Gorge it is vitally important we have as many turn up as possible to apply pressure on Hydro Tasmania to do what we all know is vital for the health of the Gorge and the Tamar’s upper reaches!
