In response to today’s (Thursday, May 19) media report David Walsh says:
“Yes, we are going to charge. At least those not from Tasmania. We are going to charge twenty bucks from non-Tasmanians who identify themselves, perhaps by the absence of the second head. We need to do this to ensure we can stay open indefinitely. Even with this revenue we will still be running at a huge loss. Yes I know we said we wouldn’t charge. It wasn’t a core promise.
By the way, we are going to do a shit hot Wim Delvoye exhibition. More olfactory obliteration is guaranteed for all. Report that. And if you don’t like it you still don’t have to come. That’s a core promise.”
The facts:
When: October 4, 2011.
How much: $20

Monanism – continues beyond July 19 – evolving.
The permanent collection exhibition will continue, of course; however, we plan to add new pieces and remove others over time. Time for a reprise.
