Mr Tim Holder, Executive General Manager of Tasmanian Broadcasters
“Since purchasing our tenth radio licence in late 2010 (and the subsequent launch of chilli 90.1fm in Launceston), Tasmanian Broadcasters have gone through a dramatic period of growth including the development of a new Devonport-based hub, streamlined play-out systems across the network, and the acceleration of content and shows in development. Tasmania Today with John Fabriswill be an important programming feature for Tasmanian Broadcasters and indeed the people of Northern Tasmania.
His ‘no holds barred’ approach to interviews and current affairs is sure to put the proverbial cat amongst the pigeons and I for one am very much looking forward to 9am Monday morning”
Mr John Fabris, Host of Tasmania Today
“Tasmania Today will be a meeting place for everyday Tasmanians. In my opinion, the last thing we all want is another program for politicians to toot their own horn. Northern Tasmania is one of the most beautiful parts of Australia and there are a number of concerns that need to be addressed –Tasmania Today will be the platform to let the people speak.
I‟m sure were going to upset a few people along the way but our listeners and the people of Northern Tasmania will always come first”
Tasmania Today will feature a number of regular contributors, drawing on Tasmanian Broadcasters’ extensive network of 160 staff positioned across the state.
