HOBART – 25 May, 2010. Save 10 Murray is compiling a social history of 10 Murray Street, the State Government Offices in Hobart. Tasmanians with memories about their time at “number 10” are encouraged contact the group to tell their story.
The stories could be from personal experience, or it could be an anecdote passed down from parents or grandparents.
Save 10 Murray is especially interested to hear from anyone who was involved in the construction of the building the late 1960s or from people who worked at ‘number ten’ in the early days.
The State Government Offices at 10 Murray Street is landmark that has been part of the lives of Tasmanians for 40 years.

Save 10 Murray is a lobby group opposed to the demolition of 10 Murray Street, a 1960s building widely considered to be Hobart’s best high-rise office block.
Members of the group are appealing the decision to remove the building through the Resources Planning and Appeals Tribunal.
