After an intense and hard-fought weekend of racing in Round 3 of PSL both the SBS Women’s and the SumUp Men’s League is heating up, the road to the WorldTour is more competitive than ever.
The race for the Liv AlUla Jayco Continental women’s team contract has seen movement, with Sophie Marr (Praties Cycling Team) now taking the lead ahead of teammate Talia Appleton in second, while Sophia Sammons holds third. This puts Praties in a unique and commanding position.
In the exciting conclusion of the SumUp Men’s League at the Tour of Tasmania, Jack Ward (Team Brennan p/b TP32) maintained his lead in the race for the Jayco AlUla stagiaire contract over Zac Marriage, who sits in second, while Tour of Tasmania Stage 2 winner Tasmanian Institute of Sport’s Hamish McKenzie holds third. However, with Ward set to miss Grafton to Inverell, Marriage now has a prime opportunity to close the gap.
Tune into The Road To The World Podcast live show tonight from 19.000 AEDT. Hosts Matt Keenan and Matilda Raynolds will dive into all the Tour of Tasmania action with special guests Sophie Marr, Hamish McKenzie and Zac Marriage.
