A single concert ticket might set Hobartians back $60 or more, but the 2024 Hobart Show (October 24-26) provides value for money on a much greater scale say organisers.

Earlybird discounts have now ended but ahead of next week’s Show, online tickets for the family are now $40 and families turning up at the gates during the Show will pay $50.

The ticket price includes two big international acts, and five other Australian entertainment packages, along with all the other entertainment, experiences, exhibitions and competitions that make up the Show.

The R***l Agricultural Society of Tasmania is excited to be bringing the Bluey Live Interactive Experience to the Show to entertain Tasmanian children for the first time,” said Scott Gadd, CEO of the Society.”Bluey is a worldwide TV sensation, and we’re sure Bluey, and her little sister Bingo, will get a huge welcome from children and parents alike.”

Erth’s Dinosaur Petting Zoo will also be at the Show. Just back from a tour of Japan, and earlier this year a tour of the US. The New York Times said the dinosaurs delivered “solid science as well as an extraordinary spectacle”.

A ticket to the Show includes all the activities that make up the Show. These include opportunities to:

  • Learn about Tasmania’s emergency services at the Tasmanian Government exhibit
  • Learn about snakes which are just coming out of hibernation now
  • Hit a six with the Hobart Hurricanes
  • Ride a tractor
  • Learn about life on farms
  • Get up close to insects through a microscope
  • Dig for carrots
  • Take in the big woodchopping carnival.

“If you’re on a budget, you’re very welcome to bring your own home packed lunch when you come to the Show,” said Gadd.

“If your household budget is tight, you don’t need to spend another cent at the Show, and for your entry price, there will be so much to see, experience, and enjoy for no extra cost.”
