Climate Action Hobart and Sustainable Living Tasmania are pleased to invite you to a Climate Action Forum: Finding Solutions for Tasmania on Saturday 10 October, from 10am – 4pm, at the Phillip Smith Centre, 2 Edward Street, Glebe, just out of Hobart’s city centre. Please come along and be part of this watershed event. There’s a flyer attached with the program on page 2.

We’ve got some great speakers, facilitators and specialist resources lined up for you, and there will be people coming from all over the State to get involved. But mostly this Forum is about you – an opportunity for you to become part of the solution by contributing your ideas, skills and energy to the process of drawing up a 10 point Climate Action Plan (CAP) aimed, in the not-too-long run, at eliminating greenhouse gas emissions in Tasmania. To get the ball rolling and to stimulate thinking, Climate Action Hobart has put together a draft Climate Action Plan which will be workshopped on the day.

But we need your help – when it comes to a safe climate, we only get one chance to get this right. Don’t wait for our “leaders” to act on climate change – let’s get together and make it happen.

There’s no charge for the day, but we’re asking for a donation of $5 for Veg Tas who have kindly agreed to provide the lunch. Tea, coffee, etc, will keep you fuelled up and productive. Or if you want to kick back a bit, there’s an excellent line up of the latest climate change and sustainability films running all day as well.

Busy day? Can’t stay from 10 – 4? Have a look at the program and come along for the session that interests you most. But plan to be there the whole day to make the biggest contribution you can.

Please pass this on through your networks, neighbours and work places! See you there!
