WINE, FOOD AND MUSIC SET TO SHINE AT THE 2026 TASMANIAN WINE FESTIVAL
The Tasmanian Wine Festival returns on 7 & 8 February 2026, bringing together wine lovers for Tasmania’s favourite summer garden party. After multiple sell out years, the festival continues to grow and will once again offer an unmatched showcase of Tasmanian wine on the lush green grass of one of the state’s most stunning locations.
This year’s program features over 45 vineyards and wineries, presenting more than 250 wines. Alongside the wine, visitors can enjoy a carefully curated food offering from some of Tasmania’s best producers, paired with live music across all sessions.
Festival Organiser Luke Schlenner says:
“Each year the festival evolves and 2026 will be the most extensive yet. With more than 45 vineyards and over 250 wines on offer, this is the largest collection of Tasmanian wine ever presented at the event.
The combination of wine, food and music in the Gardens makes this a true highlight of the summer.”
The live music program will be headlined by The Whispering Jack Show, a tribute to the music of John Farnham. The show celebrates the songs of one of Australia’s most beloved performers. The Whispering Jack Show is part of all three festival sessions.
Established in 2020, the Tasmanian Wine Festival continues to provide a platform for the state’s producers and a premium experience for wine lovers.
Shelley Bickerstaff of Frogmore Creek says:
“The festival has been a special event for us since its inception. It allows us to showcase Tasmania’s wine on a scale that reflects the quality of the region. Sharing wines in the Gardens alongside local food and music creates a unique experience for all involved.”
Local food is set to be a central feature of the festival experience, with a wide selection designed to complement the wines on offer. Guests can expect artisan cheeses to match with sparkling wines, freshly shucked oysters alongside crisp whites and wood fired pizzas paired with fuller bodied reds.
Festival favourites returning to the event include Josef Chromy, Derwent Estate, Clover Hill, Pooley Wines, Nocton Vineyard, Velo Wines, Bangor, Boomer Creek, Russell & Suitor, Gala Estate, Small Island Wines and Swinging Gate.
Joining us for the first time this year includes House of Arras, Jansz, Richmond Park Estate, Oxberry Vineyard, Atom Wines, Pressing Matters, Puddleduck, Eastford Creek and L’appel Wines among many others.
House of Arras, established in 1995, is Australia’s most awarded sparkling wine producer. Known for its refined Tasmanian sparkling, the brand has collected hundreds of accolades worldwide and is recognised as a benchmark for Australian sparkling.
Danika Windrim from House of Arras says:
“We are looking forward to being a part of the Tasmanian Wine Festival in 2026. The event has become a highlight of the summer calendar, and we are thrilled to bring House of Arras to sparkling wine lovers and share in the celebration of Tasmania’s incredible food & wine scene.”
While wine remains at the heart of the festival, a range of other beverages will be available for those looking to explore different tastes. Guests can enjoy cocktails, Tasmanian craft beers, or refresh with non- alcoholic options.
Wine lovers are invited to explore the very best of Tasmanian wine and food in the beautiful surrounds of the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 February 2026. The event will be held across three sessions to ensure guests can enjoy the setting in comfort.
