LGBTQIA+ Scholarship Applications Close this Month

Posted on

The Pinnacle Foundation, Australia’s leading LGBTQIA+ education charity, is urging young LGBTQIA+ Australians to submit their applications for the 2026 scholarship program before the deadline on August 31, 2025.

The scholarships provide multi-year financial support, a tailored mentoring program, and career opportunities to young people aged 18-26 who are pursuing full-time studies at a public university or TAFE.

The program aims to support those who have faced significant barriers, with many scholars having experienced family rejection, discrimination, and abuse.

“For many LGBTQIA+ young people, the road to higher education can be filled with barriers,” said Andrew Staite, CEO of The Pinnacle Foundation.

“That’s why we offer more than just funding; we offer a community of support.”

The scholarships, which are not government-funded, are made possible by the generosity of individuals and organisations. With over 100 scholarships awarded each year across every state and territory, The Pinnacle Foundation encourages all eligible students—from diverse backgrounds and fields of study—to apply.

The application portal is open now. For further details on eligibility and how to apply, visit The Pinnacle Foundation’s website. Applications must be received by 31 August 2025.
