Spin4Kids Challenge this Saturday

PEDAL POWER FOR A PURPOSE: SPIN4KIDS CYCLING CHALLENGE FOR TASSIE KIDS IN NEED
Variety Tasmania today opened entries for Spin4Kids– a 5-hour stationary cycling challenge to raise funds for Tassie kids in need, to be held on Saturday 6th July at the Variety Monster Bookfair, Princes Wharf 1.
“We’re calling on Tasmanian businesses, sporting clubs, and groups of mates to assemble their team and spend 5-hours on a spin bike to raise funds for Tassie kids at risk of falling through the gaps” said Variety Tasmania CEO, Mohammad Aldergham.
Variety has partnered with All Aerobics Fitness to challenge teams to ride as many kilometres as possible over the event, spurred on by a dedicated team of motivational spin instructors, high-energy music and mini challenges throughout the day. Teams are encouraged to adopt a theme and dress up – all in the spirit of FUN-draising.
Guy from All Aerobics Fitness has formulated a series of team training hints and tricks in the lead-up to the big day to ensure that the spinners are fighting fit and can focus energy on fundraising ahead of the big day.
“The team at All Aerobics are all very excited to be involved with the event this year. It’s hugely satisfying not only to tackle the challenge physically but also knowing much-needed funds are being raised for such a great cause. We hope to get as many teams involved as possible .”
The public is invited, and thousands are expected to witness the spectacular, to cheer on teams and show their support while the Monster Bookfair is taking place.
“In 2022-2023 Variety helped 7,140 children in need across Tassie, thanks to community fundraising events such as this. This year we’re aiming to raise $20,000 to help us continue expanding our support of Tassie kids, particularly as more and more families are seeking our support because of the increased cost of living” continued Mohammad.
