Boomer Whiteman was one of our most popular morning talk back hosts in the mid 1970’s to late 1980’s. As times changed his time slots progressed to late night shows and midnight till dawn. His last show on 3 AR was late 2023.

He was never a political animal but rumours are that too many of his reactions and comments were considered ‘out of step’ with modern standards and social rules. 3 AR insist it was due to budget cuts and Whiteman would not continue for their modified pay offer. But with four homes, and five ex-wives, Boomer needs to keep working.

He has now turned his talents and experience to his own online show.

“I want to provide a voice for the bread and butter issues that most people care about. I’m not really into all that political, war and environmental stuff, me and the listeners will stick to the price of butter, why bread costs so much and things like the weather.”

He wants to know what your gripes are. Message him and he will call back and either record the conversation or do it live. Thanks to Alex Manfrin, Nikki Jones, Mark Halloran, Reece Bradley, Antoine Hbqlw Dìdiërssön and Matt Dean. The actors calling are from all over Australia and that place called the ‘World’. This is the latest project from Homebrew Studio.

The studio will put Boomer to air one show, a month. The shows will be 60 minutes. They are pre recorded calls but presented as a live talk back radio show.
