Latrobe Council Invites Community Engagement In Local Government Reform Discussion

The Latrobe Council is pleased to announce that it will be hosting an engaging information evening to update the community on the current position of local government reform. This event will take place at the Latrobe Memorial Hall, located at 168 Gilbert Street, Latrobe, on Wednesday, 9 August, commencing at 7:00 pm.

The information evening aims to foster a transparent and inclusive dialogue, allowing the community to be well-informed about the ongoing local government reform initiatives. The Latrobe Council believes that involving the community in these discussions is vital for collective decision-making and the betterment of our region.

At this event, attendees will have the opportunity to:

  1. Stay Informed: Get the latest updates and insights on Local Government reform efforts for the Latrobe Council area and its potential impact on the community.
  2. Share Your Voice: We invite all residents of Latrobe to actively participate in the discussion by sharing their thoughts, ideas, and concerns regarding Local Government reform. Your input matters, and we want to hear from you!
  3. Foster Community Participation: Engage in constructive discussions with fellow community members to shape the direction of local government reform that aligns with our shared interests and aspirations.

Moreover, this information evening serves as a precursor to the Local Government Board’s Cradle Coast Community Hearing, scheduled to take place in Devonport on Monday, 22 August, from 5:30 pm until 7:35 pm. We strongly encourage community members to attend this hearing and express their perspectives on local government reform in their areas of interest.
