Zero Pixel Experimental Film Festival is a new event that celebrates the intersection of art, technology, and expanded cinema.
The festival showcases innovative installations, performances, and screenings, bringing together a diverse community of artists and filmmakers, among them the acclaimed international award winning film artists Richard Touhy and Dianna Barrie.
This is a unique opportunity to get to know Australia’s foremost analogue film artists as they present 16mm experimental films and expanded cinema with three different shows over three nights.
The medium is analogue, the screening a live performance. Experimental film and expanded cinema push the traditional idea of the the cinematic experience and challenge the limits of the medium of film and film projection, exhibition formats, and audience engagement.
Richard Touhy and Dianna Barrie and member’s of the Australian Film Workshop (AFW) and others will be present to answer questions in a Q&A after each session.
