Pangaea Festival, February 2023

Pangaea is a new camping festival set to take place in February next year.

Organisers say the event will have a “strong focus on sustainability, educational and interactive lifestyle, culture, and arts workshops accompanied by a rich programme of circus shows, musical performances and visual artists.”

It was initially due to take place in February 2022, however due to Covid-19 considerations a decision to postpone it to 2023 was made. The re-launching of the still inaugural Pangaea is booked in for February 3-6 in 2023.

Programme Highlights

Yothu Yindi, Thelma Plum, Holy Holy, Tom Thum, Jazzparty, Ngaiire, Fflora, Formidable Vegetable Soundsystem, Adelaide Based Sons Of Zoku, Theresa Dixon And The Deep Blue Sea, Miss Kaninna, Little Quirks, Public Opinion Afro Orchestra, Xixa, Tin Camp Studios (Warren Mason).

Circus Shows and Workshops

Throw Catch Collective, Rooke, Sea Shanty Circus, Flopscotch, Dandyman, Brian Little Fingers, Flying Fox Circus, Tamas, Dr Hubble, Stunned Mullet Circus, The Sands Family Circus and more.

Workshops

A programme of all-ages workshops, activities and panel discussions in the arts, culture, health, well-being, and sustainable living is being delivered by entrepreneurs, experts, life enthusiasts including Good Life Permaculture, Tin Camp Studios, Nita Education, Yothu Yindi, Tasmanian Land Conservancy, Steve Biddulph, Landcare Tasmania, Southeast Climate Action, The Bob Brown Foundation and more.

Organisers say that workshops are central to Pangaea, they are the building blocks to community connectedness and are paramount in the development and progress of our kind towards a sustainable future together.

Creative arts 
A local spread of emerging and professional artists including Jacob Leary, Abigail Giblin, Caleb Nichols-Mansell, Rose Ertler, Liam Fogarty And Loci Designs.

Kidsville

A nature-based playground hosting activities, adventures, and explorations in bushcraft, mud, and water play, climbing obstacles, cubby building, whittling, storytelling, dancing and so much more.

Kidsville is about fostering a love of nature locally so that our young are connected and care for the natural world around them. This helps to grow healthy connected youth who are more capable of comprehending the environmental issues we/they face.
