TASMANIAN GOVERNMENT PUNISHING ASHLEY WHISTLEBLOWER
Independent Member for Clark, Andrew Wilkie, will be available to discuss his most recent plea to Premier Jeremy Rockliff to put a stop to the appalling treatment being dished out to the Ashley Youth Detention Centre whistleblower known as Alysha.

“The Tasmanian Government is punishing Alysha for blowing the lid on the scandalous treatment of the children in Ashley,” Mr Wilkie said.
“Again I call on the Premier to step back from the advice he is getting on this matter and to intervene and stop the madness. Failure to do so makes a mockery of the State Government’s commitment to stamp out institutional abuse generally, and to the Commission of Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse in Institutional Settings specifically.”
