Vote Now For Tassie’s Top Tourism Towns for 2022
We’re inviting all Tasmanians to go to the polls just one more time, to support your favorite local town (and win a winter getaway!)
Seven Tasmanian towns of all shapes and sizes in all corners of the state are vying for the title of Tassie’s Top Tourism Towns of 2022 … and to have the chance to be named Australia’s Top Tourism Town.
Bicheno on the east coast; Richmond in the south; Strahan on the west coast; Devonport, Sheffield and Stanley in the north-west; and Launceston, are all finalists in the search for Tassie’s Top Tourism Towns for 2022.
Each town has submitted a short video highlighting their key attractions and experiences, a snappy editorial article on why visitors should check them out, and an engaging visitor itinerary for a defined target market.
These entries will now be judged by a team of tourism experts – along with the Tasmanian public.
Head to the Tassie’s Top Tourism Town website over the next two weeks to have a look at all the entries and then vote for your favorite holiday hot spot, or just show some love for your home town.
Votes will be collated with our expert judges’ scores and a customer review score to determine our three category winners:
- Spirit of Tasmania Top Tourism Town (for populations over 5,000)
- TasVacations Small Tourism Town (for populations under 5,000, but greater than 1,500)
- Tasmania Travel Guides Tiny Tourism Town (for populations under 1,500)
The three category winners will be Tasmania’s finalists in the search for Australia’s Top Tourism Towns later this year – (and wouldn’t we just love to see our Tassie towns take that out!)
Vote and Win!
By voting for your favourite entry, you also go into the draw to win one of three Weekend Getaways at one of Tassie’s Top Tourism Towns! Each prize includes two nights’ accommodation within one of our finalist towns, along with vouchers for visitor experiences within the local region, each to the value of $1,000.
The real winners are the Tasmanian towns that have entered, prompting them to invest time in their own marketing and promotion of their visitor experience, and to take stock and consider what’s truly unique and special about their piece of Tasmania.
