Survey – Australia’s Response to the COVID-19 Health Crisis
How have the state and federal governments and residents of Australia responded to the COVID-19 health crisis, and what is influencing this response?
My research aims to explore attitudes of Australians and their engagement in health-protective strategies in response to COVID-19.
From a socio-ecological perspective, my study explores the regionally unique shared experiences of Australian adults living in the greater capital city regions of each Australian state and territory during the COVID-19 health crisis since March 2020.
I aspire to have equal participation from all our greater capital cities; however, I am finding it challenging to recruit enough participants from some of the smaller capitals of each state and territory.
That is why I am appealing to residents of Hobart to fill in my survey and contribute to my research.
About the Survey
Personal Attitudes
How do you feel or think about participating in the hygiene and avoidance practices to protect yourself and your family from COVID-19?
The People Around Us
What do you observe about others when you get back to work, go back to public transport and shopping in large shopping centres, social distancing, and wear marks on request?
Challenges of COVID-Safe Practice
Getting on board – Your experiences participating in COVID-19 policies like scanning QR-codes for contact tracing, social distancing, working from home, complying with ‘lock-downs’ and travel restrictions.
As a ‘thank you’ to members of the Australian public for taking part in the online survey, you can enter your email address after submitting your survey and enter the draw for one of eight $50 gift cards! You can also request notification of the publication of the study.
About Me: A Psychology Student and Researcher
I’m a student at Charles Sturt University, currently completing my Bachelor of Social Sciences (Psychology) Honours and living in Sydney, NSW.
I am dedicating this year to exploring and researching the experiences, motivations and perceptions of the previous, current, and future strategies to control and reduce the spread of COVID-19 in Australia.
This survey forms the data collection component of my research project and dissertation for my Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) Honours. Considering the relevance of this topic, I hope to contribute to the growing academic knowledge around the implications of living in a world with COVID-19 and an opportunity to help improve policy and public health outcomes for Australia.
Optimistically, I will continue my research beyond the scope of this study to make a significant difference to the health and well-being of all Australians.
Anyone who has an interest in my research and would like to participate in contributing to my research, you can access the online survey at https://covidattitudesgenpub.questionpro.com.au
