Post-punk legend Thurston Moore performed at the Odeon Theatre in Hobart on Friday night with long-time collaborator and electronic experimental composer, Wobbly.
People packed into the theatre to watch them play loud experimental music while visualisations appeared on a screen. Lights flashed, sizzled, and projected patterns onto the floor and ceiling. Everyone whooped and cheered when Thurston riffed his guitar.
It was a great experience all-round.
The Dark Mofo staff were rigid on COVID-19 safety, even double-checking that people had checked in on the Check-in TAS App. It was comforting to know they were taking it seriously.
