Statement Re: Teacher agreement negotiations
Roz Madsen, AEU Tasmania State Manager, said:
“AEU’s Branch Executive met today to consider progress of negotiations for a new teachers’ agreement.
“There has been positive progress in negotiations and another meeting with the Premier and Treasurer, along with other public sector unions, is scheduled for Monday [18th February].
“Branch Executive has scheduled an extra-ordinary meeting on Monday, after the meeting with the Premier, to again consider progress of negotiations and the next steps in our campaign for quality education.”
