Keep the Mona Vision Alive

Alderman Jeff Briscoe commends the State Government on their renewed interest in Macquaire point redevelopment.
“It is vital that the Government provides a means for the public to have say in the proposed new site development plan. And when Government’s bill on this development site is tabled in Parliment it must enable the normal planning process to happen (ie Tasmanian Planning Commission) to oversee the necessary amendments to the planning scheme”
“It is my personal view from the few details released that the Mona vision for the site has been considerably diminished which is disappointing and shows perhaps that the government lacks a real vision for that important site.
