| If you ever find yourself lamenting the fact that much smaller countries than Australia produce binge-worthy, sophisticated political thrillers, well, keep lamenting.
The ABC’s much promoted Netflix co-production Pine Gap brings more of the dumbed down dialogue and black and white characterisation you’d expect from Home and Away.
Helen Razer reviews and says: “This is the accidental genius of Pine Gap: it’s a stinking turd laid in a tepid bath by a toddler. It’s just such a childish attempt at manufacturing consent, I feel almost affectionate toward it.”
