The National Water Week Poster Competition is on again and TasWater is asking primary school aged students from Tasmania to get out their pencils, paints, computers and crayons and get an entry in.
Prizes this year include Samsung Galaxy Tablets as well as other great prizes for both students and their schools.
Each year, National Water Week events and promotions across Australia encourage individuals, communities and organisations to work together to build community awareness and understanding about the importance of water. TasWater encourages water awareness through an annual poster competition.
The 2018 National Water Week TasWater Poster Competition is now open to all primary school aged students across Tasmania. The theme for this year’s poster competition is ‘Water for me, water for all’.
This theme encourages students and the wider community to consider how we use water and what we can do to protect our water environments and resources for the future. It also provides an opportunity to bring attention to the value of water and our shared responsibility in caring for it.
The TasWater Poster Competition is now open so it’s time to get crafty. Students should prepare their posters on an A3 size piece of paper and forward their entry to TasWater by Monday the 10th of September, 2018.
The poster competition has four categories: prep, grade 1 and 2, grade 3 and 4, grade 5 and 6. The winner of each category will be presented with 16GB Samsung Galaxy Tab A at one of the state-wide poster exhibitions held during National Water Week, 21-27 October 2018. Libraries of the first prize winners don’t miss out either with water themed book packs also being awarded at the presentation events.
Entry forms and further information about the competition can be found on the TasWater website:
