• Flood warnings remain current for areas of Tasmania this morning, but weather conditions are improving into the weekend.
• A further 10-20 mm of rainfall is expected today in the west, 15-25 mm in the south west, and less than 5 mm elsewhere before rain slowly eases this evening.
• Minor flood warnings are in place for the Huon, Meander, North Esk and South Esk Rivers, and the River Derwent.
• The Minor Flood Warning for the Macquarie River has been finalised.
• A Flood Watch has been finalised for the north west, north and north east catchments.
• Strong and dangerous flows will be a hazard over the next couple of days.
• The public is directed to follow all safety messages from SES and Tasmania Police and stay up-to-date with flood watch and warning products at www.bom.gov.au/tas/warnings
• The rainfall experienced across the state this week was a result of vigorous cold fronts that began crossing the state from Tuesday.
• The highest recorded three-day totals from Tuesday to Thursday were at:
o Mount Victoria – 118 mm
o Warra – 108 mm
o Mount Read – 103 mm
o Lake St Clair – 103 mm.
