WA supports live export ban

Western Australian premier Mark McGowan has urged farmers aggrieved at the suspension of a livestock exporter’s licence to “take it up with the federal government”.
Speaking to reporters on Saturday, McGowan said images of sheep suffering and dying aboard overcrowded ships were “unacceptable to me and the vast majority of Australians”. On Friday the department of agriculture suspended the licence of Emanuel Exports, the country’s largest live sheep exporter, effectively halving the $250 million-a-year industry …
