Banning ‘colours’ is nothing short of a dictatorship and invasion of personal rights and liberties
Public consultation was called yet it seems they were totally ignored because it did not suit the political agenda. It was a scam.
This legislation push to ban motorcycle “colours” is not a get tough on crime, don’t be fooled it’s an attack on the silent majority personal rights and liberties.
We should all be afforded the basic right of innocent until proven guilty.
For those in parliament to push for and to support the state government’s push to ban the wearing of “colours” smacks of a dictatorship and sets a dangerous precedent.
If someone breaks the law, then make sure the criminal is charged and sentenced to the full extent of the law, not a token slab on the wrist.
Let’s be honest here, drunken louts in their football colours are seen by many as intimidating and up to no good.
Time for authorities to ensure criminals are charged and sentenced appropriate, claiming guilty by association is not morally right or just.
